Dear Meadowlark Family and Friends, 

The administration team is excited to be part of an amazing school.  The team has worked in Laramie County School District 1 for over 40 years combined.  Mrs. Seeley-Marotz has taught 5th or 6th grade for the past 20 years and has served on many committees to further the educational opportunities for students in the areas of Math and Language Arts.  Mr. Brinkman has taught Health and Physical Education, been a technology integration specialist, and an administrator for the past 6 years at Saddle Ridge Elementary. 

The administration team believes in building relationships with all stakeholders to provide a positive and proactive climate and culture. This year the focus will be TRUST.  This is a hard concept for many, but it is needed for success in the world today.  We will communicate on a regular basis with families to know how to become an active member of our school community.  We invite parents to participate in our activities and come visit us when information is unclear.   

There will be a focus on positive behaviors and rewarding students with positive behavior cards, PBIS awards, and random acts of kindness.  Students will be given the opportunity to record their zones of regulation throughout the day.  This will provide an opportunity for students to have a safe place to express their feelings with Meadowlark staff providing support as needed.   

Finally, as an elementary school compromised of 5th and 6th grades, we will focus on a team approach to provide opportunities to be successful in education, build new relationships, and prepare for the next chapter of junior high in their educational book. We want to partner with you, grandparents, coaches, aunts, uncles, etc. to make this possible. 

The administration team always has the door open to visit with members of the Meadowlark family. Please contact the office to schedule an appointment, visit during school hours, or simply say “hello” at the grocery store. We are excited for the upcoming school year and look forward to the opportunity to make Meadowlark the best elementary school in Cheyenne and the state of Wyoming.
